The Executives have decided to create a new position in the community, Community Manager, this position will be in charge of the following: Welcoming new players into the community, help them integrate and feel a part of the community. Organize community events like: Site-Wide RP Contests Game Nights/Movie Nights Seasonal Events Encourage discussion on forums and discord. Recognize outstanding players in announcements. Collect player suggestions and complaints. Create polls on propsed changes. Write announcements about: Server updates Rule changes Upcoming events Maintenance Maintain a consistent and professional tone between staff and players. Answer common questions from the community. Monitor the overall mood of the community. Identify recurring frustrations before they become major issues. Help resolve conflicts between groups or factions. With that being said, myself and @blackout2217 are excited to announce @Q1X as your new Community Manager. Hey everyone! I wanted to give you all a quick update from my side of things, we're currently deep in development on the server, and we want to be upfront about our vision: our goal is to build a fully custom server, with little to no downloaded addons. Outside of a few necessary exceptions, everything you'll experience is being built from the ground up specifically for this project. We've already got several custom systems in the works, but we want this to be a community-driven process. What would you like to see added? Whether it's gameplay mechanics, roleplay systems, quality-of-life features, or something totally out there, we want to hear it. Head over to ⁠💬・server-suggestions and drop your ideas! There is a new role (@Beta Supporter). This role will be given to those who support Blackwater throughout our beta/alpha phase. I imagine this role will hold some sort of special thing to it in the near future which has yet to be decided as of now but to those who are wanting it and would like to have it I will make a format for role request where you can request the Beta Supporter role. You will not need to provide proof for this. The other role I have added which will be given out by Architects. This is our new @Tester role which will also hold something special in the future.
